Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Credicorp (LM:BAP), which rose 3.54% or 5.120 points to trade at 149.550 at the close. Meanwhile, Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 3.45% or 0.020 points to end at 0.600 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 2.86% or 0.008 points to 0.288 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which fell 3.74% or 0.130 points to trade at 3.350 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) declined 1.31% or 0.020 points to end at 1.510 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was down 0.77% or 0.020 points to 2.580.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.84% or 1.78 to $48.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $49.44 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.77% or 10.20 to trade at $1314.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3030, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6835.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 96.19.
