Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Media, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Auto & components sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 4.29%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 48.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) fell 2.14% or 3.1 points to end at 142.0 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) was down 2.38% or 2.9 points to 118.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC), which fell 30.70% or 0.35 points to trade at 0.79 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 14.45% or 2.7 points to end at 16.1 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 10.14% or 2.78 points to 24.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 169 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 30.70% or 0.35 to 0.79.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.30% or 0.71 to $30.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.79% or 0.61 to hit $33.45 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 3.07% or 35.50 to trade at $1193.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.52% to 9.6091, while USD/NOK fell 0.04% to 8.6017.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.87.
