Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Energy and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 8.34% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) added 5.60% or 1.14 points to end at 21.50 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 4.40% or 1.59 points to 37.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which fell 1.63% or 4.5 points to trade at 272.0 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 0.80% or 0.1 points to end at 17.4 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was down 0.45% or 0.1 points to 11.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 130 to 48 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) fell to 5-year lows; falling 0.45% or 0.1 to 11.1.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.49% or 1.13 to $46.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.92% or 0.90 to hit $47.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.21% or 16.15 to trade at $1347.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 1.48% to 9.1002, while USD/NOK fell 1.84% to 8.1032.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.15.
