Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 2.91% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) added 2.87% or 8.8 points to end at 315.7 and Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC) was up 2.78% or 2.3 points to 85.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS), which fell 3.16% or 1.48 points to trade at 45.37 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) declined 2.60% or 1.6 points to end at 58.0 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) was down 2.29% or 0.69 points to 29.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 107 to 70 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.48% or 0.91 to $60.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.32% or 0.86 to hit $64.83 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.58% or 6.90 to trade at $1179.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.48% to 8.8347, while USD/NOK rose 1.25% to 7.8614.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.62% at 95.17.
