Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Support Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 1.84%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Akzo Nobel (AMS:AKZO), which rose 3.67% or 2.52 points to trade at 71.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad (AMS:RAND) added 3.49% or 1.90 points to end at 56.27 and Gemalto (AMS:GTO) was up 3.40% or 2.48 points to 75.67 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vopak (AMS:VOPA), which fell 0.24% or 0.12 points to trade at 50.95 at the close. KPN Kon (AMS:KPN) added 0.52% or 0.02 points to end at 3.282 and Arcelormittal (AMS:ISPA) was up 0.60% or 0.05 points to 8.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 218 to 33 and 6 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 5.58% to 18.16.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.08% or 0.53 to $48.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.50% or 0.84 to hit $55.56 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.33% or 16.00 to trade at $1184.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.0824, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.7308.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 98.26.
