Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Food Producers, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were KPN Kon (AMS:KPN), which rose 5.15% or 0.168 points to trade at 3.433 at the close. Meanwhile, Arcelormittal (AMS:ISPA) added 5.13% or 0.47 points to end at 9.56 and ING Groep (AMS:ING) was up 1.27% or 0.175 points to 13.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL), which fell 1.88% or 0.34 points to trade at 17.50 at the close. Aegon (AMS:AEGN) declined 1.05% or 0.075 points to end at 7.072 and Reed Elsevier (AMS:ELSN) was down 0.94% or 0.215 points to 22.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 128 to 122 and 3 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 2.54% to 19.78.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.80% or 0.46 to $57.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.76% or 0.49 to hit $65.34 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.50% or 17.90 to trade at $1176.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.0876, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.7164.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 97.06.
