Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Forestry & Paper and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which rose 6.00% or 35 points to trade at 615 at the close. Meanwhile, IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) added 6.00% or 3.30 points to end at 58.30 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) was up 6.00% or 6.00 points to 106.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Snep (CS:SNP), which fell 5.30% or 4.03 points to trade at 72.00 at the close. Med Paper (CS:PAP) declined 3.57% or 0.50 points to end at 13.50 and Bmce Bank (CS:BMCE) was down 2.83% or 6.00 points to 206.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 26 to 21 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Snep (CS:SNP) fell to all time lows; down 5.30% or 4.03 to 72.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.10% or 1.22 to $38.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.59% or 1.06 to hit $39.81 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.26% or 15.40 to trade at $1237.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.13% to 10.9080, while USD/MAD fell 0.34% to 9.6824.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.66% at 95.36.
