Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Invest Companies & Other Finance and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 5.98% or 4.51 points to trade at 79.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) added 5.96% or 1.01 points to end at 17.94 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) was up 5.92% or 5.30 points to 94.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eqdom (CS:EQDM), which fell 5.81% or 43 points to trade at 697 at the close. Axa Credit (CS:AXC) declined 5.42% or 19.00 points to end at 331.00 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was down 4.52% or 0.56 points to 11.82.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 18 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eqdom (CS:EQDM) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.81% or 43 to 697. Shares in Axa Credit (CS:AXC) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.42% or 19.00 to 331.00.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.14% or 0.64 to $29.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.74% or 1.23 to hit $31.65 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.80 to trade at $1195.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.50% to 10.9440, while USD/MAD fell 0.66% to 9.6710.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.94% at 95.85.
