Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Softwere & Computer Services and Beverage sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which rose 9.97% or 1.83 points to trade at 20.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Involys (CS:INV) added 6.00% or 9.00 points to end at 159.00 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) was up 5.99% or 71 points to 1256 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were M2M Group (CS:M2M), which fell 6.71% or 16.65 points to trade at 231.25 at the close. Oulmes (CS:OULM) declined 5.88% or 56 points to end at 895 and Hps (CS:HPS) was down 4.32% or 21.00 points to 465.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 20 to 19.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.66% or 0.79 to $48.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.30% or 0.71 to hit $55.83 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.45% or 5.40 to trade at $1196.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.12% to 10.7450, while USD/MAD fell 0.36% to 9.7902.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 97.12.
