Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Forestry & Paper and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Micro Data SA (CS:MIC), which rose 5.80% or 6.80 points to trade at 124.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 5.23% or 1.15 points to end at 23.15 and Colorado (CS:COL) was up 2.97% or 1.50 points to 52.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Timar (CS:TIM), which fell 5.99% or 19.90 points to trade at 312.10 at the close. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) declined 5.80% or 10.20 points to end at 165.80 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) was down 4.41% or 28 points to 607.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 20 to 19 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.65% or 0.78 to $48.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.81% or 0.89 to hit $50.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1344.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.21% to 10.9410, while USD/MAD fell 0.04% to 9.6712.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 94.42.
