Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Forestry & Paper and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were CTM (CS:CTM), which rose 5.64% or 21.90 points to trade at 409.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 4.59% or 1.31 points to end at 28.50 and Ennakl (CS:NAKL) was up 3.42% or 1.40 points to 42.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Involys (CS:INV), which fell 3.14% or 5.00 points to trade at 154.00 at the close. Cosumar (CS:CSMR) declined 2.67% or 5 points to end at 182 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) was down 2.38% or 30 points to 1230.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 16 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in CTM (CS:CTM) rose to 5-year highs; up 5.64% or 21.90 to 409.90. Shares in Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) rose to 52-week lows; up 4.59% or 1.31 to 28.50.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.86% or 0.42 to $48.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.50% or 0.84 to hit $55.56 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.32% or 15.90 to trade at $1184.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.10% to 10.7360, while USD/MAD rose 0.55% to 9.9031.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.68% at 98.28.
