Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Holding Companies and Food Producers & Processors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.14% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 6.26% or 4 points to trade at 66 at the close. Meanwhile, BMCI (CS:BMCI) added 5.99% or 36 points to end at 628 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) was up 4.33% or 5.25 points to 126.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aluminum du Maroc SA (CS:ALU), which fell 5.98% or 64 points to trade at 998 at the close. Med Paper (CS:PAP) declined 5.67% or 1.10 points to end at 18.30 and Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) was down 5.65% or 10.00 points to 167.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.80% or 1.76 to $44.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.48% or 1.66 to hit $45.99 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.15% or 2.05 to trade at $1342.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.07% to 10.9130, while USD/MAD fell 0.14% to 9.7168.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 95.34.
