Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which rose 1.35% or 0.27 points to trade at 20.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 1.23% or 0.610 points to end at 50.240 and Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) was up 0.68% or 0.240 points to 35.680 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO), which fell 4.21% or 4.820 points to trade at 109.740 at the close. Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) declined 3.17% or 1.150 points to end at 35.150 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) was down 2.22% or 5.210 points to 229.190.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 101 to 58 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 1.23% or 0.610 to 50.240.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.32% or 4.25 to $1351.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.95% or 0.89 to hit $46.63 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.80% or 0.87 to trade at $49.22 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.20% to 18.0442, while EUR/MXN rose 0.70% to 20.3572.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 94.75.
