Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Healthcare and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which rose 3.67% or 3.24 points to trade at 91.61 at the close. Meanwhile, VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) added 2.56% or 0.64 points to end at 25.68 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) was up 2.28% or 4.42 points to 198.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which fell 3.00% or 0.980 points to trade at 31.720 at the close. Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) declined 2.93% or 0.690 points to end at 22.820 and Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) was down 1.90% or 0.890 points to 46.030.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 133 to 118 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.04% or 0.50 to $1268.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.65% or 0.30 to hit $46.38 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.77% or 0.37 to trade at $48.66 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.41% to 18.0585, while EUR/MXN fell 0.39% to 20.2395.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 96.99.
