Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which rose 5.58% or 0.27 points to trade at 5.05 at the close. Meanwhile, A2A (MI:A2) added 0.92% or 0.011 points to end at 1.213 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was up 0.89% or 0.20 points to 22.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Popolare Sc (MI:BAPO), which fell 4.69% or 0.118 points to trade at 2.400 at the close. Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MI:PMII) declined 4.61% or 0.0193 points to end at 0.3998 and UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) was down 4.41% or 0.067 points to 1.453.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 295 to 115 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.32% or 0.16 to $50.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.21% or 0.11 to hit $51.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.36% or 4.55 to trade at $1258.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.1040, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.9031.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 97.64.
