Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (MI:STM), which rose 5.51% or 0.440 points to trade at 8.420 at the close. Meanwhile, CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) added 2.16% or 0.150 points to end at 7.105 and Luxottica Group (MI:LUX) was up 1.71% or 0.76 points to 45.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MI:BMPS), which fell 3.85% or 0.0105 points to trade at 0.2625 at the close. Recordati (MI:RECI) declined 3.14% or 0.84 points to end at 25.94 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) was down 2.88% or 0.44 points to 14.86.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 231 to 164 and 36 ended unchanged.
Shares in STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.51% or 0.440 to 8.420. Shares in CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.16% or 0.150 to 7.105.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.19% or 0.59 to $49.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.15% or 0.58 to hit $49.89 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.14% or 1.75 to trade at $1271.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.0945, while EUR/GBP rose 0.50% to 0.9004.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 98.64.
