Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 7.82% or 0.490 points to trade at 6.755 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MI:PMII) added 5.77% or 0.0197 points to end at 0.3610 and Banco Popolare Sc (MI:BAPO) was up 5.66% or 0.122 points to 2.278 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were A2A (MI:A2), which fell 5.13% or 0.061 points to trade at 1.129 at the close. Snam (MI:SRG) declined 4.96% or 0.186 points to end at 3.564 and Campari (MI:CPRI) was down 4.80% or 0.42 points to 8.44.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 229 to 193 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Snam (MI:SRG) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.96% or 0.186 to 3.564.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.39% or 0.63 to $44.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.12% or 0.52 to hit $45.84 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.25 to trade at $1267.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.0884, while EUR/GBP fell 1.30% to 0.8680.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 98.82.
