Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which rose 4.15% or 0.0345 points to trade at 0.8665 at the close. Meanwhile, Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 2.31% or 0.2700 points to end at 11.9700 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was up 1.37% or 0.09 points to 6.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UBI Banca (MI:UBI), which fell 5.98% or 0.2220 points to trade at 3.4900 at the close. Unicredit (MI:CRDI) declined 3.83% or 0.1200 points to end at 3.0100 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) was down 2.24% or 0.45 points to 19.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 219 to 183 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.06% or 0.03 to $49.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $49.76 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.95 to trade at $1219.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1171, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.7628.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 95.30.
