Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 3.95% or 169 points to trade at 4450 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 2.48% or 800 points to end at 33100 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was up 2.19% or 350 points to 16310 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 3.67% or 3380 points to trade at 88620 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 3.28% or 67 points to end at 1977 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was down 2.39% or 19.8 points to 810.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 194 to 141 and 116 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) fell to 5-year lows; down 3.67% or 3380 to 88620. Shares in Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) rose to all time highs; up 2.48% or 800 to 33100.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.14% or 0.49 to $42.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.79% or 0.37 to hit $46.24 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.56% or 6.10 to trade at $1078.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.41% to 3.8809, while EUR/ILS fell 0.31% to 4.1731.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 99.01.
