Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Banking and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Isramco L (TA:ISRAp), which rose 1.52% or 1.1 points to trade at 73.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 1.40% or 19 points to end at 1376 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 1.20% or 3.1 points to 261.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Paz Oil (TA:PZOL), which fell 2.74% or 1740 points to trade at 61660 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.07% or 76 points to end at 3593 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was down 1.41% or 260 points to 18220.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 195 to 157 and 94 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.89% or 1.39 to $46.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.10% or 1.05 to hit $48.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.19% or 16.05 to trade at $1330.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.23% to 3.7661, while EUR/ILS fell 0.70% to 4.2370.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 94.83.
