Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which rose 4.12% or 272 points to trade at 6874 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 4.11% or 650 points to end at 16450 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 1.64% or 2300 points to 142400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which fell 1.85% or 13.8 points to trade at 732.2 at the close. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 1.55% or 1700 points to end at 107700 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was down 1.32% or 74 points to 5511.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 175 to 161 and 121 ended unchanged.
Shares in Frutarom (TA:FRUT) rose to all time highs; up 4.11% or 650 to 16450.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.20% or 0.12 to $58.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.52% or 0.34 to hit $66.19 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.35% or 28.40 to trade at $1181.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.8636, while EUR/ILS rose 0.67% to 4.3266.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 95.06.
