Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Biomed and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG), which rose 3.82% or 680 points to trade at 18480 at the close. Meanwhile, Melisron (TA:MLSR) added 3.15% or 500 points to end at 16350 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 1.97% or 28 points to 1452 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which fell 4.53% or 265 points to trade at 5587 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) declined 1.78% or 35 points to end at 1930 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was down 1.75% or 42 points to 2360.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 243 to 158 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.28% or 0.16 to $56.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.77% or 0.49 to hit $62.85 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 8.90 to trade at $1250.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.32% to 3.5346, while EUR/ILS fell 0.17% to 4.1575.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 93.85.
