Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 1.50% or 240 points to trade at 16250 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 1.08% or 70 points to end at 6570 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) was up 0.59% or 110 points to 18610 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which fell 3.28% or 11.7 points to trade at 345.0 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.43% or 33 points to end at 1324 and Liveperson (TA:LPSN) was down 1.63% or 120 points to 7245.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 235 to 158 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) fell to 5-year lows; down 3.28% or 11.7 to 345.0.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.44% or 0.23 to $52.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.33% or 0.20 to hit $61.24 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.25 to trade at $1290.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.6675, while EUR/ILS fell 0.09% to 4.2271.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.947.
