Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 4.86% or 1660 points to trade at 35810 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 2.56% or 30 points to end at 1201 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 2.51% or 5.4 points to 220.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 7.42% or 5080 points to trade at 63400 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 6.10% or 99 points to end at 1525 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was down 1.77% or 340 points to 18900.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 164 to 156 and 127 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.12% or 0.06 to $48.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $49.24 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.46% or 5.90 to trade at $1271.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.66% to 3.8388, while EUR/ILS rose 0.36% to 4.3290.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 94.70.
