Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Biomed and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Nice (TA:NICE), which rose 5.38% or 1310 points to trade at 25640 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 2.96% or 450 points to end at 15670 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 1.96% or 140 points to 7280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG), which fell 2.51% or 410 points to trade at 15930 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 2.06% or 300 points to end at 14250 and Migdal Insurance (TA:MGDL) was down 1.56% or 7.3 points to 461.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 173 to 162 and 119 ended unchanged.
Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) rose to all time highs; rising 1.96% or 140 to 7280.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.52% or 0.93 to $60.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.13% or 1.40 to hit $64.09 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1191.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.04% to 3.8452, while EUR/ILS rose 0.96% to 4.3307.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.65% at 95.37.
