Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 2.80% or 400 points to trade at 14700 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) added 2.53% or 18.4 points to end at 746.5 and Discount (TA:DSCT) was up 2.18% or 14.5 points to 678.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 2.64% or 3800 points to trade at 140000 at the close. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) declined 1.70% or 87 points to end at 5030 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was down 1.04% or 1100 points to 104600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 190 to 147 and 119 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) rose to 3-year highs; rising 2.53% or 18.4 to 746.5. Shares in Discount (TA:DSCT) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.18% or 14.5 to 678.9.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.84% or 0.90 to $47.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.69% or 0.95 to hit $55.45 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.31% or 15.70 to trade at $1185.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.26% to 3.9563, while EUR/ILS fell 0.78% to 4.2861.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 98.20.
