Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which rose 1.79% or 110 points to trade at 6250 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 1.72% or 340 points to end at 20140 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.24% or 400 points to 32700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which fell 1.27% or 220 points to trade at 17100 at the close. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 0.57% or 4.2 points to end at 737.8 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was down 0.55% or 21 points to 3805.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 206 to 135 and 98 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.12% or 1.30 to $43.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.16% or 1.39 to hit $45.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.43% or 5.85 to trade at $1357.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.31% to 3.8066, while EUR/ILS fell 0.32% to 4.2548.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.58.
