Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Communication, Insurance and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 2.94% or 19.5 points to trade at 682.0 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.47% or 92 points to end at 6345 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) was up 1.46% or 220 points to 15290 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which fell 2.23% or 36 points to trade at 1579 at the close. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 1.66% or 5.0 points to end at 295.5 and First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) was down 1.10% or 59 points to 5311.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 194 to 143 and 112 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.07% or 0.57 to $52.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.11% or 0.65 to hit $58.03 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.81% or 9.40 to trade at $1144.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.23% to 3.7780, while EUR/ILS fell 0.22% to 4.1402.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 97.24.
