Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Real Estate, Insurance and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 1.28% or 68 points to trade at 5388 at the close. Meanwhile, Melisron (TA:MLSR) added 0.98% or 140 points to end at 14400 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) was up 0.87% or 50 points to 5780 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which fell 0.55% or 90 points to trade at 16160 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 0.47% or 600 points to end at 126000 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was down 0.45% or 7 points to 1537.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 187 to 88 and 173 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.28% or 0.12 to $43.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $49.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1094.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.22% to 3.8116, while EUR/ILS rose 0.18% to 4.1804.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 97.73.
