Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 1.94% or 84 points to trade at 4425 at the close. Meanwhile, Discount (TA:DSCT) added 1.32% or 8.5 points to end at 651.0 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 1.23% or 710 points to 58580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which fell 7.28% or 16.5 points to trade at 210.2 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 6.25% or 72 points to end at 1080 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was down 3.92% or 2480 points to 60800.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 170 to 158 and 125 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.86% or 0.34 to $39.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.29% or 0.53 to hit $40.50 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1222.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.18% to 3.8292, while EUR/ILS rose 0.22% to 4.2947.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.86.
