Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 4.42% or 180 points to trade at 4249 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 3.43% or 60 points to end at 1810 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) was up 2.28% or 7.4 points to 331.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which fell 5.11% or 1190 points to trade at 22100 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) declined 2.04% or 48 points to end at 2300 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was down 2.04% or 3580 points to 172020.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 241 to 182 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.43% or 60 to 1810.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.19% or 0.11 to $58.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.25% or 0.15 to hit $60.85 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 5.80 to trade at $1840.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.20% to 3.2506, while EUR/ILS rose 0.19% to 3.9315.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 90.597.
