Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Household and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 10.78% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.113 at the close. Meanwhile, Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 7.04% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.1520 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 5.95% or 0.1500 points to 2.6700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which fell 5.48% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.328 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 4.69% or 0.006 points to end at 0.122 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was down 4.69% or 0.030 points to 0.610.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 48 to 42 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.59% or 8.15 to $1364.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 4.10% or 1.62 to hit $41.13 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 3.88% or 1.62 to trade at $43.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1147, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8374.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 95.51.
