Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 2.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr), which rose 12.98% or 0.037 points to trade at 0.322 at the close. Meanwhile, Attica Bank (AT:BOAr) added 7.69% or 0.005 points to end at 0.070 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was up 6.67% or 0.009 points to 0.144 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which fell 9.26% or 0.06 points to trade at 0.55 at the close. Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) declined 7.36% or 0.12 points to end at 1.51 and Korres (AT:KRRr) was down 4.52% or 0.18 points to 3.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.15% or 1.80 to $1166.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.40% or 1.33 to hit $54.19 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.99% or 1.80 to trade at $58.52 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1071, while EUR/GBP fell 0.57% to 0.7100.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 96.36.
