Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 1.17% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SBF 120 index climbed 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Vinci SA (PA:SGEF), which rose 2.91% or 1.97 points to trade at 69.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Pernod Ricard SA (PA:PERP) added 2.31% or 2.40 points to end at 106.10 and Orange SA (PA:ORAN) was up 2.17% or 0.30 points to 14.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cap Gemini SA (PA:CAPP), which fell 0.39% or 0.34 points to trade at 86.05 at the close. Klepierre (PA:LOIM) declined 0.38% or 0.17 points to end at 42.87 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA) was down 0.23% or 0.013 points to 5.682.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eiffage (PA:FOUG) which rose 3.91% to 71.14, Vinci SA (PA:SGEF) which was up 2.91% to settle at 69.68 and Elior Group (PA:ELIOR) which gained 2.87% to close at 20.79.
The worst performers were DBV Technologies (PA:DBV) which was down 0.99% to 60.100 in late trade, Genfit (PA:GNFT) which lost 0.96% to settle at 24.140 and Sartorius Stedim Biotech (PA:STDM) which was down 0.94% to 64.49 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 434 to 211 and 113 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 7.04% to 16.88 a new 52-week low.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.02% or 0.25 to $1351.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 4.82% or 2.01 to hit $43.72 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 4.74% or 2.09 to trade at $46.14 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.1157, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.8608.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.71.
