Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 2.34%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V), which rose 0.09% or 0.01 points to trade at 10.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) fell 1.05% or 0.24 points to end at 22.66 and Kesko Oyj B (HEL:KESBV) was down 1.41% or 0.45 points to 31.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V), which fell 4.94% or 0.238 points to trade at 4.582 at the close. Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) declined 3.90% or 0.83 points to end at 20.47 and Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) was down 3.40% or 0.1260 points to 3.5820.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 137 to 39 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.90% or 0.83 to 20.47.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.61% or 0.81 to $49.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.28% or 0.60 to hit $46.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.20 to trade at $1120.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1141, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.7328.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 96.27.
