Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V), which rose 0.74% or 0.23 points to trade at 31.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) added 0.36% or 0.030 points to end at 8.420 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HEL:UPM1V) was down 0.19% or 0.03 points to 16.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which fell 4.87% or 0.33 points to trade at 6.45 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) declined 3.81% or 0.1540 points to end at 3.8920 and Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) was down 2.79% or 0.89 points to 31.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 139 to 26 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.51% or 0.82 to $53.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.04% or 0.50 to hit $47.64 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.94% or 10.20 to trade at $1096.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.18% to 1.1114, while EUR/GBP rose 0.84% to 0.7136.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 96.49.
