Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which rose 1.51% or 0.40 points to trade at 26.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to end at 5.4150 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 0.17% or 0.02 points to 11.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 1.89% or 0.076 points to trade at 3.940 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.63% or 0.64 points to end at 38.56 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 1.55% or 0.10 points to 6.04.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 115 to 54 and 24 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.41% or 0.21 to $50.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $48.26 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.70% or 9.55 to trade at $1347.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1316, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.8676.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 94.58.
