Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 3.10% or 1.22 points to trade at 40.57 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.31% or 0.14 points to end at 6.42 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 1.33% or 0.36 points to 27.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 3.88% or 0.162 points to trade at 4.014 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 2.63% or 0.1400 points to end at 5.1800 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 1.43% or 0.19 points to 13.08.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 95 to 76 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) rose to all time highs; rising 3.10% or 1.22 to 40.57.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.46% or 0.68 to $45.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.96% or 0.86 to hit $43.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.47% or 6.25 to trade at $1311.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.81% to 1.1153, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.8531.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.79% at 96.03.
