Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE), which rose 4.09% or 0.96 points to trade at 24.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) added 2.95% or 0.95 points to end at 33.11 and Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) was up 1.24% or 0.075 points to 6.115 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V), which fell 2.88% or 0.83 points to trade at 28.02 at the close. Valmt (HEL:VALMT) declined 2.24% or 0.25 points to end at 10.90 and Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV) was down 1.40% or 0.54 points to 37.91.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 94 to 77 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.26% or 0.62 to $48.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.95% or 0.88 to hit $44.27 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.59% or 6.40 to trade at $1092.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.0929, while EUR/GBP rose 0.76% to 0.7043.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 97.88.
