Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.39%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 4.37% or 0.27 points to trade at 6.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.96% or 0.1080 points to end at 3.7560 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was up 2.79% or 0.57 points to 21.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 1.51% or 0.062 points to trade at 4.044 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.07% or 0.005 points to end at 7.525 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.03% or 0.01 points to 34.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 134 to 39 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 2.22% or 1.14 to $50.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.09% or 1.04 to hit $48.84 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.48% or 6.40 to trade at $1320.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.1061, while EUR/GBP rose 0.82% to 0.8354.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.63% at 96.29.
