Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V), which rose 2.51% or 0.28 points to trade at 11.43 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.51% or 0.12 points to end at 5.11 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 2.16% or 0.85 points to 40.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.62% or 0.0740 points to trade at 2.7540 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 0.66% or 0.060 points to end at 9.015 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was down 0.21% or 0.07 points to 32.76.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 119 to 64 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.94% or 0.43 to $45.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.47% or 0.20 to hit $42.67 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.20 to trade at $1071.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.0629, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.7028.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 99.75.
