Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V), which rose 5.93% or 0.222 points to trade at 3.966 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) added 5.90% or 0.1800 points to end at 3.2300 and Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) was up 5.25% or 1.13 points to 22.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V), which fell 2.01% or 0.63 points to trade at 30.70 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV) declined 1.38% or 0.45 points to end at 32.07 and Sampo Oyj A (HEL:SAMAS) was down 1.21% or 0.54 points to 43.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 114 to 61 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.37% or 0.20 to $52.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.81% or 0.40 to hit $49.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.22% or 14.00 to trade at $1158.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.88% to 1.1376, while EUR/GBP rose 1.12% to 0.7429.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.60% at 94.83.
