Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 4.08% or 1.57 points to trade at 40.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.43% or 0.1450 points to end at 6.1150 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was up 1.32% or 0.41 points to 31.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which fell 0.40% or 0.11 points to trade at 27.22 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 0.28% or 0.012 points to end at 4.276 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was down 0.21% or 0.03 points to 14.38.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 100 to 79 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.43% or 0.1450 to 6.1150. Shares in Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.32% or 0.41 to 31.54.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.40% or 0.20 to $50.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.54% or 0.26 to hit $48.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.31% or 4.15 to trade at $1321.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1240, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8648.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 95.31.
