Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 17.86% or 3.68 points to trade at 24.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.74% or 0.1260 points to end at 3.4960 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was up 2.50% or 0.50 points to 20.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which fell 1.51% or 0.39 points to trade at 25.50 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 0.99% or 0.35 points to end at 34.96 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was down 0.85% or 0.26 points to 30.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 87 to 84 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 2.47% or 1.18 to $49.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.03% or 1.40 to hit $47.61 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.32% or 4.10 to trade at $1276.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1332, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.7865.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 94.45.
