Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.46% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 3.85% or 0.28 points to trade at 7.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.99% or 0.175 points to end at 6.020 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 2.84% or 0.190 points to 6.885 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 1.28% or 0.49 points to trade at 37.73 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 0.88% or 0.34 points to end at 38.19 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was down 0.29% or 0.04 points to 13.84.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 89 to 48 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.84% or 0.190 to 6.885.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.07% or 0.53 to $48.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.10% or 0.51 to hit $45.92 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.71% or 8.77 to trade at $1218.33 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.46% to 1.0874, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8404.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 99.48.
