Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 1.28% or 0.45 points to trade at 35.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.19% or 0.048 points to end at 4.084 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 1.18% or 0.35 points to 29.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.77% or 0.2150 points to trade at 7.5350 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 0.90% or 0.07 points to end at 7.67 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was down 0.27% or 0.09 points to 33.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 106 to 71 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 3.18% or 1.56 to $47.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 3.32% or 1.59 to hit $46.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.92% or 10.95 to trade at $1178.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.0593, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.8505.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 101.55.
