Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.76% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 2.29% or 0.66 points to end at 29.50 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.99% or 0.19 points to 9.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.54% or 0.0880 points to trade at 3.3720 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 2.09% or 0.44 points to end at 20.59 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 1.58% or 0.052 points to 3.230.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 92 to 81 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 1.32% or 0.51 to $38.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.14% or 0.42 to hit $36.37 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.46% or 5.60 to trade at $1217.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1396, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.7979.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 94.49.
