Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 3.48% or 1.26 points to trade at 37.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 1.76% or 0.45 points to end at 26.02 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.41% or 0.064 points to 4.598 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 2.01% or 0.105 points to trade at 5.110 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.92% or 0.62 points to end at 31.69 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 1.39% or 0.57 points to 40.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 76 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.48% or 1.26 to 37.43.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.46% or 1.27 to $52.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.98% or 1.50 to hit $51.79 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.62% or 7.85 to trade at $1270.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.0967, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8935.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 97.89.
