Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 1.58%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (COP:CARLb), which rose 0.09% or 0.5 points to trade at 571.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Pandora A/S (COP:PNDORA) fell 0.65% or 4.0 points to end at 607.5 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (COP:MAERSKa) was down 0.65% or 100 points to 15260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (COP:GEN), which fell 6.23% or 31.0 points to trade at 466.2 at the close. Tryg A/S (COP:TRYG) declined 4.55% or 39.5 points to end at 829.0 and Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS) was down 3.26% or 9.6 points to 284.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 136 to 27 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 4.47% or 2.20 to $51.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 5.05% or 2.85 to hit $59.34 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.65% or 7.80 to trade at $1204.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.80% to 6.8627, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4687.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 97.58.
