Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.20% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH), which rose 6.80% or 7.7 points to trade at 121.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) added 4.99% or 22.0 points to end at 463.0 and Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) was up 4.76% or 10.6 points to 233.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which fell 2.07% or 8.4 points to trade at 397.0 at the close. DSV (CO:DSV) added 0.17% or 0.5 points to end at 303.0 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) was up 0.19% or 20 points to 10590.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 84 to 28 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 0.19% or 20 to 10590.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.34% or 0.68 to $51.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.63% or 0.34 to hit $54.23 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.92% or 10.75 to trade at $1161.65 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.70% to 7.0563, while EUR/DKK fell 0.04% to 7.4367.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.59% at 101.71.
